Run by the same family for 40 years.

A stable, long-term supplier: same owners, same management, same standards.

The founder is still the Managing Director, and his family still runs the company. Approve Kelkar once and you are dealing with the same people on your next programme, and the one after that.

Two directors. 93 years of combined experience.

Your parts are the direct responsibility of a company director, not a department manager.

Decisions about your parts are taken at director level, inside the company that makes them.

A team of over 530. Every skill in-house.

Designers, engineers, welders, fabricators and finishers, all employed by Kelkar.

The Kelkar team assembled outside the plant, more than twenty-five people in company shirts

Your part is drawn, cut, formed, welded, coated and assembled. At most suppliers some of that work is bought in from someone else. At Kelkar every step is done by our own employees, on our own site, so one company answers for the part from the drawing to the loading bay.

More than seventy-five of the team work in design and engineering, turning a customer's drawing into a part that is ready to make.

Three commitments you can hold us to.

Chosen by the directors, published unedited, and open to be judged on.

A customer base spread on purpose.

Deliberate Customer Diversification is one of four principles the directors run the company on.

Naming it as a principle makes it a standing decision the directors carry. Kelkar describes itself as a trusted supplier with long-standing relationships based on ethical business practices, and a customer base widened on purpose is what leaves room for the next one.
